In 1922 Martiros left the village of Hazarjrib for Isfahan to work. When the work was done, he and his companions set off back to Peria with the money they had earned. For their safety they bought a rifle and gave it to Martiros, since he was a good marksman. When they reached the Najafabad mountain pass they were attacked by bandits, and he was killed in the exchange of fire. |
